If there was something you could do to save your business money, would you do it? Chances are, the answer is a resounding yes. While it may seem unusual, you can save your business money simply by the piping that you choose to use for your plumbing. Some piping is better than others.
In this video, you will learn about the different piping types.
Copper piping is an unwieldy option. It can’t bend and must use fittings to take turns around corners. Yet, it lasts an extremely long time. We are talking around 75-100 years. It comes in several types ranging from Type L to Type M. Each type is used in a different area of the building.
PEX is much easier to work with than copper. It uses snap to attach fittings that make installation simple for any skill level. PEX was invented in the late 1900’s but took a while to be adopted in the United States. At that point, copper piping was still king. However, you can’t beat the price and ease of installation that PEX offers.
CPVC is another interesting option. It offers a lifespan of 50-75 years which is significant, but shorter than the other options. The real benefit of CPVC lies in the cost efficiency. It can save your business money because the material is so cheap to buy. This is especially important if you have a large project.
